I’m pleased
to report that EnergySec has just
introduced an excellent newsletter on NERC CIP.
To be published two to three times a month, it looks like it’s aimed to
keep the reader apprised of all the important developments in CIP – not just
limited to the CIP standards per se,
but including the whole “CIP environment”.
For example, the introductory newsletter includes insightful commentary
by Steve Parker (EnergySec’s president), notes and links on FERC developments,
links to upcoming meetings and webinars (as well as past webinar recordings), links
and discussion of recent CIP Notices of Penalty, and discussion on current
Lessons Learned.
You can
receive the newsletter for free if you work for an EnergySec member
organization (and if you don’t, maybe you should talk to someone about
joining). You can get a free 30-day
trial here (the
trial is for both of their newsletters: the weekly one on cyber security
developments of interest to the industry, as well as the new CIP newsletter).
The views and opinions expressed here are my
own and don’t necessarily represent the views or opinions of Honeywell.
