Announcement from Tom Dec. 15: The two webinars on software bills of materials scheduled for this Thursday have been postponed until January. NTIA will send further details about the date and connectivity over the coming weeks. More information will also be posted at https://www.ntia.gov/softwaretransparency. Please reach out to afriedman@ntia.gov if you have any questions.
This morning Dr. Allan Friedman of
the National Information and Technology Administration sent out invitations to
the two webinars
about the upcoming Proof of Concept on production and use of software bills of
materials (SBoMs) for the electric power industry. He asked me to make sure you
got these invitations, since he is hoping you can attend.
Both webinars have the same
content (although there will be a lot of material to absorb at once, and I’m
sure the questions will be different. You won’t be bored if you attend both). No
RSVP is necessary, although if you have questions, you’re welcome to drop Allan
and/or me an email. Allan’s email address is afriedman@ntia.doc.gov, and mine is
below.
Here’s Allan’s description of the webinar:
The goal of this first info session
is to make the case for transparency in the software supply chain, give an
initial overview of the global SBOM work to date, and to highlight
how the healthcare sector has come together to learn about and execute SBOM technical
and operational details. (Both Dec 17 sessions will have similar presentations)
